Grand Challenges in Neural Computation
This will be a unique workshop, dedicated to identifying the Scientific Grand Challenges required for quantitatively understanding the nature of computation in the brain and its application toward more powerful neuromimetic computing. The workshop will be organized around several major themes: Experiment and Analysis, Theory and Modeling, and Applications. National program managers have been invited to offer their ideas and inform their judgement on the Grand Challenges for the field. The conference will end with a focused discussion on the future of neuroscience in New Mexico

We have made a limited number of travel awards available for poster contributing attendees with a priority given to students and postdocs. Decisions are being made on a continuous basis. Interested contributors should send an email to: neuralcomputation@cnls.lanl.gov that contains a short abstract of the poster content and a CV.
Co-sponsored by the Santa Fe Institute, LANL's Center fo Nonlinear Studies, and the NMC's Institute for Advanced Studies.
